To Be Free

OK, here’s another song that is probably (!) not the best song in the world ever, but this was a fun song to make (I couldn’t decide if I should leave my giggles in as they’re not really part of the melody…). Coronavirus was spreading around the globe so creating this song was a nice escape. I hope YOU have some place you can call sanctuary. All that gloomy media can get you down if you’re not careful. Listening to this song will take your mind off it (there’s nothing like my singing voice to distract you from your own thoughts!).

297 – This is love

Can’t think of what to write about this one. Played a little arpeggio on the guitar, banged the drums and added a bit of synth. Not sure what I was singing about but it seemed to fit. Title is a bit grandiose and I’m sure it’s not everyone’s definition of love, but I quite enjoyed making it…if only it was as enjoyable to listen to! I’m starting to wonder if it’s cruel of me to post these collections of sounds on the internet. No, what am I thinking?! The internet can handle it. But can you?

266 – Agony Ecstasy

Here’s a little poppy tune. No autotune on the vocals so the pitch is all over the place (but in my warped view of the world this comes off as endearing…). I was trying to keep it simple – easy drumming, clean guitar licks in the background that adds rather than distracts. Even the structure of the song is simple: verse – bridge – chorus etc. I’ll need to give it a couple of listens but what I’m testing is, does simple come off as boring or homely?
